HDD Controller

The HDD controller is a system-on-chip (SOC) that controls the overall functionality of the HDD. Marvell’s HDD controller design delivers best-in-class areal density capability and power consumption; and integrates critical IP including the Read Channel, PHY transceivers, processors, and data security.

Marvell’s Read Channel IP is at the heart of our HDD controller design and uses advanced mixed-signal and digital-signal processing technologies. Marvell’s Read Channel IP incorporates an efficient error correction scheme, in addition to advanced digital filtering and data-detection techniques. Marvell’s advanced architecture allows customers to achieve best-in-class areal density, data reliability, and power consumption in order to effectively meet the growing exabyte demand.

 

HDD Preamplifiers

Marvell offers a complete line of HDD Preamplifier products for all market segments including the rapidly growing data center segment. Our advanced Preamplifer IP enables low-power, high-performance and cost-effective solutions. Marvell’s Preamplifier products are designed for energy-assisted magnetic recording, two-dimensional magnetic recording, advanced fly-height control and signal conditioning. Our products are certified lead-free, halogen-free, and ROHS compliant.
